Description: 『崇福寺』と題した、戦後のカラー絵葉書。長崎市の人々に赤寺として親しまれている。黄檗宗の寺で、名僧超然の開基による。最初はこの造りでなかったが、嘉永2年(1849)竜宮門造りで再建された。長崎を代表する観光地。国指定文化財。 / This is a picture postcard from after World War II entitled "Sofukuji Temple". Referred to as the "Red Temple," Sofukuji is a temple of the Obaku Zen Sect and was established by the Chinese monk Chaoran. The gate was rebuilt in "dragon palace gate" style in 1849. A famous tourist attraction in Nagasaki, it remains to this day as a nationally designated Important Cultural Asset.
