Description: 茂木の玉台寺の山門。僧寶譽の創建で島原の領主松倉氏の代に第三世義山和尚か再建している。義山和尚は日見の桜谷寺、樺島の無量寺の開山でもある。寺内には島原洪水の際に打ち上げられた死骸を埋めた塔がある。塔の傍には俗に「三官さんの墓」と言われる唐人の墓がある。 / The gate of Gyokudaiji Temple in Mogi. The temple was founded by the Buddhist monk Hoyo rebuilt by the third-generation resident monk Gizan during the reign of Lord Matsukura of the Shimabara Domain. Gizan also founded Okokuji in Himi and as well as Muryoji in Kabashima. A tower in the temple precinct marks the spot where dead bodies that washed up on the shore at the time of the Shimabara flood were buried. A Chinese tomb called "The Tomb of Sankan-san" is located next to the tower.
