Abstract: 肺がん患者に有用性のある患者教育プログラムを提供するためには,患者の学習ニーズのアセスメントが必要である.アンケート調査内容はGertrud Grahnらの先行研究に基づいた8項目とした.対象者は肺がんの診断を受けて手術療法および化学療法を受けて外来通院中の肺がん患者46名である.対象者の平均年齢は66.6±17歳で男性31名,女性15名であった.肺がん診断後の経過年数は,6ヶ月から1年未満36名で最も多かった.化学療法:31名,手術療法:18名,放射線療法:10名,免疫療法:1名,民間療法:1名という治療内容であった.肺がんに関する認識と学習ニーズは次のように集約された. 1.「患者会の活動」,「情報を得る窓口」,「社会保障制度の活用」,「イメージ療法など各種療法」の項目において認識が低かった. 2.手術療法経験あり群はなし群よりも各項目において認識が高い傾向にあった. 3.「効果的な疼痛対策」,「肺がんの病態」,「各臓器の正常な働き」の項目において学習ニーズが高かった. 4.手術療法経験なし群はあり群よりも学習ニーズが高い傾向にあった.「肺がんの民間療法」で有意差が見られた(P<0.05). / To provide an effective patient education program to patients with lung cancer, the assessment of their learning needs is necessary. We carried out a self-described questionnaire to evaluate the awareness of disease and learning needs in patients with lung cancer who were being treated on an outpatient basis after undergoing surgery and chemotherapy. The questionnaire consisted of 8 items based on the previous questionnaire survey regarding the need to educate patients by Gertrud Grahn et al. (1990). The subjects consisted of 46 outpatients (31 males and 15 females) aged 66.6±17 years (mean). The duration after the diagnosis of lung cancer was between 6 months and 1 year in 36 patients. Chemotherapy was performed in 31 patients, surgery in 18, radiotherapy in 10, immunotherapy in 1, and folk remedies in 1. Ccnclusions: ① The items showing a low mean awareness score were "activities of patients' group", "liaisons through which information is obtained", "utilization of social security systems", and "various therapies such as image therapy". ② The awareness score tended to be higher in lung cancer patients who had undergone surgery than in those who had not. ③ The items showing high learning needs in patients with lung cancer were "effective measures against pain", "pathology of lung cancer", and "normal function of each organ". ④ Learning needs tended to be higher in the lung cancer patients who had not undergone surgery than in those who had. A significant difference was observed in folk remedies of lung cancer (P<0.05).
