Abstract: It is of the utmost importance for university students majoring in economics to be able to read and write English sentences on economy, as well as to orally communicate with proper pronunciation and intonation. Mainly based on my own experience of teaching English to university students, I would like to propose some methods to help them achieve such goals. For example, university students do not seem to have much difficulty in memorizing a number of technical terms in English, provided that they are advised not to be too nervous about spelling mistakes. Writing can be remarkably improved by weekly submission of short essays in English to be corrected with some unique methods.
