Abstract: A new method for turning off the SCR's in a variable time ratio controlled parallel inverter has been developed. The basis of this method is a third SCR inversely connectted with a center tap of a transformer. This inverter circuit is more simple, because it is composed of a small number of elements and minimum three SCR's, and has characteristic of very short reverse bias time, compared with conventional inverter. The inverter operates with a wide range of resistive, idnuctive and capasitive loads. The circuit is analyzed of three main modes of operation and calculated of a short reverse bias time.
