抄録: Two program packages 'PROWAT' and 'PROGAS' have been developed for microcomputer users. They consist of 19 and 12 subroutines respectively and are written in BASIC language (N88 DISK-BASIC(86) on P C-9801E system by NEC corporation). The program package PROWAT involves only water as a substance and provides nineteen different functions of the thermodynamic properties, while PROGAS involves thirteen ideal gases (hydrogen, helium, methane, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, air, ethane, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, propane, n-butane and sulfur dioxide) taking into account the temperature variation of the specific heats, and provides twelve different functions of the thermophysical properties. All of the thermophysical properties for water and gases, with the exception of the saturation pressure for water, are calculated from the equations given by Irvine and Liley. Equation for the saturation pressure of water is based on the JSME STEAM TABLES IN SI (1980). In the present paper, the structure and specification of the two program packages (the first version) are to be described, together with the results of a performance test and two examples for users.
