Abstract: This paper presents a reducing method of higher harmonic currents using an active filter at an acside of condenser input type three-phase diode bridge rectifier. The principle of the active filter is to cancel higher harmonic currents contained in load current by injecting reversed phase harmonic currents into the voltage source side. The three-phase PWM converter is connected in parallel to rectifier as an active filter. The high speed current control strategy of PWM converter and active filter is treated. Control circut is composed of DSP (TMS320C30). The calculated results approximately agree with the experimental values.
