Abstract: In this paper, dynamic stability of an annular sector plate subjected to an inplane sinusoidally time-varying moment is presented. The problem is analyzed by the two-dimensional theory of elasticity and the linear theory of the thin plate. The basic equation of motion is solved by using a Galerkin method and the harmonic balance method. Numerical results are presented for the dynamic stability of several annular sector plates with different boundary conditions, opening angles and aspect ratios.
