抄録: MIURA (1976) discovered the chimeric specimen of Porphyra yezoensis UEDA having green and wild parts segregating on a single thallus. Red mutant thalli have been found in cultivated populations in the field. After crossing experiments between red and green types of P. yezoensis, MIURA also obtained the yellow type thallus. By the same way, but separately, we obtained red, green and yellow types. Recently, we have obtained an orange mutant type during the crossing between red and yellow types. These color mutant types were cultured in the sea and laboratory, and the growth and shapes of thalli, and tolerances to parasitic diseases, were examined. In comparative culture experiments, growth of thalli was good in wild and red types, but other color types were inferior to the wild type. Thallus width of green and yellow types were somewhat narrow, while the orange type was very narrow as compared to the wild type. In thickness of thallus, the green and yellow types were thinner. The color mutant types, excepting red type, showed lower fertility. No apparent difference was found among the different color types in tolerance against the Pythium disease. However, the green, yellow and orange type thalli showed high tolerance against the Olpidiopsis disease. Absorption spectra of intact thalli in different color types are shown in Fig. 1. A phycocyanin peak at 620nm was obscure in the orange type. / スサビノリの色彩変異型として分離した赤色,緑色,黄色,橙色型を用いて,それらの室内培養や海での養殖を行い,生長,形態やあかぐされ菌,壺状菌の寄生などを調べた. 1.スサビノリ色彩変異型の葉状体の生長は,赤色型が野生色と同程度に良好であったのに,緑色,黄色型はやや劣り,橙色型は最も不良であった.この生長の序列は糸状体も同じであった. 2.葉状体の外形は野生色,赤色型に比べ緑色,黄色型はやや細長く,橙色型ではさらに細長い形を示した.また,葉状体の厚みは緑色,黄色型でやや薄く,橙色型では厚かった. 3.あかぐされ病に対する抵抗性は,色彩変異型葉体間でとくに差はなかったが,壺状菌の寄生は緑色,黄色型でかなり少なく,橙色型ではさらに少なくて,これらの変異型は明らかに壺状菌耐性がみられた. 4.橙色型葉体の吸光スペクトルは,フィコエリスリンの568nm付近の吸光度が野生色,赤色型より低く,フィコシアニンの620nm付近の吸収帯での吸光度が著しく低いのが特徴として認められた.
