Abstract: The distribution of fungi in dried sea foods has been estimated, and the toxicity of culture filtrate extracts of isolates has been studied by the mouse intraperitoneal injection test and the chick embryo test. 1) Penicillium and Aspergillus were the main floras in the dried sea foods (fish meal, dried shaved fish, and dried fish), and Cladosporium, Mucor, Trichoderma, Scopulariopsis, Doratomyces and Alternaria were also detected in the foods. 2) Culture filtrate extracts of 28 strains of 100 isolates were toxic to mice. Of these toxic strains, 13 strains and 12 strains belonged to Aspergillus and Penicillium respectively. Asp. niger group, Asp. flavus, P. citrinum, and P. trzebinskii of the species in which toxic strains were detected belonged to the main floras in the sea food specimens. 3) Seven strains of Asp. niger group (6 strains of Asp. awamori, 1 strain of Asp. ficuum), 2 strains of Asp. flavus and 1 strain of P. trzebinskii were potently toxic in both the mouse intraperitoneal injection test and the chick embryo test. Two strains of P. citrinum and 1 strain of P. trzebinskii were potently toxic in the mouse test. / 市販の水産乾燥食品における糸状菌の分布を明らかにし,更に,分離菌株の培養ろ液抽出物の毒性をマウス腹腔内注射法および鶏胚法によって試験した。1)水産乾燥食品(魚粉,削り節,乾燥魚)においてPenicilliumおよびAspergillus属が優勢的に分布した。Cladosporium, Mucor, Trichoderma, Scopulariopsis, DoratomycesおよびAlternaria属なども検出された。2)分離100菌株のうち28菌株がマウスに対し毒性を示した。これら有毒性菌株のうち13菌株がAspergillus属,12菌株がPenicillium属であった。有毒性菌株が検出された菌種のうち,Asp. niger群,Asp. flavus, P.citrinumおよびP.trzebinskiiは優勢分布菌種に属した。3)Asp. niger群7菌株(Asp. awamori 6菌株, Asp. ficuum 1菌株), Asp. flavus 2菌株およびP.trzebinskii 1菌株はマウスおよび鶏胚に対し強毒性を示した。P.citrinum 2菌株およびP.trzebinskii 1菌株はマウスに対し強毒性であった。
