Abstract: The blennioid fish, Dictyosoma burgeri Van der Hoeven, growing over 250mm in total length in full grown size, is distributed along the coasts of Japan and Korea. It is found in the crevice of rock and under stone in the inter-tidal zone and shallow water at the rocky coast of Nomozaki (Lat. 32°35.31'N, Long. 129°45.5'E) near Nagasaki. The food of the fish consists of molluscs, crustaceans, amphipods and small fishes. The spawning season seems to extend from December to April. Numerous specimens of the blennioid fish, including planktonic larvae, were collected from the coast of Nomozaki during 1968 to 1971. Two adult males and three adult females collected in November 1970 were kept in a table aquarium for the spawning experiment, and they spawned there in January 1971. The male parent fish coiled about the spawned egg mass, which was pyriform and measured about 6 cm across the center. The egg was spherical, measuring from 2.12 to 2.18mm in diameter. It was provided with a rather narrow perivitelline space and a light yellow yolk containing an oil globule in it. The egg membrane, being rather thick and milky white in color, had adhesive prominences with which neighbouring eggs were attached one another. The incubation period of the egg extended from 23 to 29 days at the temperature varying between 12.5 and 13.0℃. The newly hatched larva, being from 8.8 to 9.9mm in total length and elongate in form, could swim freely. The planktonic larvae collected with fish lamp and kept in an aquarium entered into the bottom life at the early juvenescent stage, reaching 15 to 19mm in total length. The pelvic fins developed to scale-like tiny spines at the juvenescent stage in the early bottom life, but the fins disappeared as the fish grew. The lateral line system developed at the body length of about 20mm and completed its net work at the body length of about 30mm. From the examiantion of the collected specimens, it seems that the fish grows to about 10cm in total length in a year, and to about 17cm and mature in 2 years, and the females spawn only once a year. The mature ovarian eggs in 9 unspawned females enumerated from 2,145 to 6,475. / 1968年から1971年にわたる長崎市郊外野母崎町沿岸における採集で,浮遊生活期の稚仔を含む多数のダイナンギンポを得たが,そのうちで,1970年11月に採集してセメント水槽で飼育中に成熟した雄2尾,雌3尾を一緒に卓上水槽で飼育を続けたところ,1971年1月に水槽内で産卵した。産み出された受精卵は,互に卵膜表面で接着し,径6cmほどの西洋梨形をした卵塊をつくり,雄親魚がこの卵塊を体で巻いて保護していた。各卵は,球状の沈性卵で,乳白色をして不透明な厚い卵膜表面には付着突起があり,この突起でもって隣接する卵が互に接着している。卵径は2.12-2.18mmで,囲卵腔は比較的に狭く,淡黄色をした卵黄のなかには,白色をした雲状物をともなった淡黄緑色の大油球1個がある。水温12.5-13.0℃で,23-29日間でふ化した。 ふ化直後の仔魚は,全長8.8-9.9mmで,体各部はよく発達した状態でふ出するが,なおかなりの量の卵黄を持っている。この仔魚は遊泳力を備え,強いすう光性を示す。 野母湾内で集魚灯を用いて採集したダイナンギンポの稚仔を水槽で飼育したところ,全長15-19mmの初期稚魚期に浮遊生活から底棲生活へ移った。 本種の成魚では腹鰭がみられないが,その発育初期のものでは,腹鰭は1対の鱗片状をした小棘として現われており,その後,魚体の成長に従がってしだいに消失してゆく。また,体側に網目状に発達する特異な側線系は,頭部の感覚管系の形成が終る全長約20mmの若魚期からその形成が始まり,全長約30mmの大きさで完成をみる。 野母崎町海岸における採集物を検討したところ,同地におけるダイナンギンポの産卵期は,12月から4月にわたり,雌では,全長17cm前後の満2年魚が多く産卵に与ること,また,雌はその卵巣内卵を一回に全部産み出す1回産卵魚であることなどが分った。また,成熟した卵巣内卵数は,2,146-6,475を数えた。 なお,野母崎町海岸の岩礁海岸で,潮間帯およびそれに続く浅海でよくみられるダイナンギンポの未成魚,および,成魚の胃内には貝類,エビ,カニ類,端脚類,小型魚類などの小動物を認めた。
