Abstract: The observations of an ovarian tissue of Cyprinus auratus LINNÉ immediately after spawning tells us that it contains in many cases a lot of unspawned eggs fairly developed. Some of them are reserved for the next spawning time in the same year, while the others are never to be spawned in any spawning season of the same year. A further minute survey of the lot of the latter (spawns never to be effective) has ascertained us that in the case of Cyprinus auratus LINNÉ they gradually follow the course to final disintegration or absorption, and what participates in this process of disintegration or absorption is the surrounding tissue of the ineffective spawn, follicle cells in particular. The follicle cells in this case can clearly be discriminated from the empty follicle which is found immediately after spawning. These two kinds of follicle cells can be seen in the ovary after its spawning season, and are both of them gradually disintegrated or absorbed and disappear. Thus the degree of their degeneration enables us to trace out the date of their spawning. Another result of my research is the discovery in the post-spawning ovarian tissue of a yellow-body-like tissue presumably formed by the cells around the oocytes, those were left ineffective after having developed enough to be called ripe spawn. / 硬骨魚の卵巢の熟度を知る爲の基礎資料としてフナ Cyprinus auratus LINNÉの卵巢の細胞・組織學的に周年變化を檢討考察した結果の中,ここに述べた事を要約すると凡そ次の通りである. 1.產卵を終つて間もない雌魚の卵巢組織には次の產卵期に出產す可き幼稚な卵母細胞の外に,相當多數の卵黄胞期 yolk vesicle stage 乃至卵黄球期 yolk globule stage の卵母細胞が排卵に至らずして存在することが普通である.之等の卵の爾後の運命を追及した. 2.前項不產出卵の一部は,間もなく起ると思われる次の產卵に備えられるものであり,爾余の卵黄胞期以上に生長した卵母細胞は,その隣接組織特に濾胞細胞に依つて分解吸収される.從つてフナに於ては,之等不產出卵が若返つて次年度に產卵す可き卵群に加わる樣な事は見られない. 3.不產出卵の分解吸收に主として關與する濾胞細胞群即ち吸收痕をなす細胞は,所謂排卵痕を形成する所謂 empty follicle とは形態的に區別する事が出來る.之等兩種の細胞群の存在は何れも,その卵巢の過去の產卵時期の推定の資料となり得る. 4, 排卵の經驗を有する卵巢組織中に,しばしば黄体樣組織の存在を認める場合がある.恐らく完熟の程度まで發育して排卵されなかつた卵母細胞の存在がこの樣な組織形成の發端となつたものと考える.
