Abstract: We describe a method of extraction and partial purification of phosphoproteins from Utiwaebi, Ibacus ciliatus and Asari, Venerupis philippinamm. The extraction of the phosphoproteins was carried out by hot water and by 0.02MNaHCO3 solution containing 5% NaCl. Utiwaebi, Ibacus ciliatus was contained three kind phosphoproteins in the hot water extracts and three kind phosphoproteins in the alkaline soluble extracts. Asari, Venerupis philippinamm was contained three kind phosphoproteins in the hot water extracts and three kind phosphoproteins in the alkaline soluble extracts. The amino acid ompositions of the each peaks was characterized by relatively high percentage for Aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycie, alanine and leucine in the hot water extracts and the alkaline extracts of Utiwaebi, Ibacus ciliatus and Asari, Venerupis philippinamm. The inhibition of angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) by proteolic components of twelve major fraction (peak A~F, and peak A'~F') by gel filtration chromatography on Sephadex G-50 of the hot water extracts and alkaline extracts from Utiwaebi and Asari was investigated in vitro. All the sample inhibited the enzyme. The most active peak (E') was found in the dialyzate of the alkaline extracts from Asari, Venerupis philippinamm and showed about 50% inhibition against ACE.. The active principle was low molecular weight substance. / (1)ウチワエビ及びアサリともに,異なる3種の水溶性タンパク質と3種のアルカリ可溶性タンパク質を成分とすることが明らかになった。その中には,リンを含むタンパク質(ホスホプロテイン)が存在し,それらは水溶性タンパク質に多かった。(2)アミノ酸含量は,熱水抽出物がアルカリ抽出物より高く,また,アミノ酸の量は透析内容物に多かった。(3)アンジオテンシン1変換酵素(AC E)の阻害効果が高いのは透析外容物であり,ウチワエビよりアサリの方が阻害効果が高い。
