Abstract: Physical, structural and social barrier for senior and disabled persons originate from ignorance, lack of understanding, indifference, irresponsibility, misconception of the social community. If the common citizens understand what is barrier and why they occur, and correspond properly to solve them, the community will start to realize true barrier free environment. Since this sense of consciousness would in turn, alleviate other five types of barrier, viz. physical, mental, informational, cultural, and structural.
