Abstract: This study aims to examine the effects and issues that pre-admission education has on learning. The coursework progress level and survey results revealed that students who were strongly motivated showed a positive coursework completion level, as indicated by statements such as “I became interested in the classes at university” and “I became interested in my future (career), such as employment”. Furthermore, the existence of a student tutor was suggested to potentially impact how the students engaged in the coursework.
