Abstract: In most cases, it is nearly impossible to make, by application of a simple antibiotic as Penicillin a. o., entirely free from bacteria the Trichomonas culture contaminated thereby. For the purpose to isolate bacteria-free T. vaginalis and T. foetus, the author employed Penicillin (1.562 u/cc), Streptomycin (6.250μg/cc). Aureomycin (3.125μg/cc), and Homosulfamine (1 : 400), each of which was separately added to the DESCHIENS medium. Materials containing Trichomonas, in association with many bacteria, were cultivated in each medium, 48 hours at 37℃, by turns successively. Thus, after 3-4 generations (6-8 days), pure cultures of Trichomonas were certainly obtained, finally, 7 Vaginalis-strains and 5 Foetus-strains.
