Abstract: The fully developed laminar heat transfer of a power-law non-Newtonian fluid in a concentric annulus with an axially moving core was studied analytically. The energy equation together with the fully developed velocity profile obtained in the previous report was numerically solved for the second kind thermal boundary conditions of constant wall heat flux at one wall with the other insulated. The effects of the radius ratio, the relative core velocity and the flow index of a non-Newtonian power-law fluid on the temperature distribution and Nusselt number were investigated.
