Abstract: In order to utilize the dredged marine clay, specimens of cement-hardened marine clay were cured at the real sea. The results of this cement hardening test indicate that the hardened strength differs according to the length of the curing period. The authors considered these differences in the hardened strength mainly because of the presence of the humic-acid in the marine clay and the temperature of the curing water. As a result of this investigation it was clear that there was no relationship between the hardened strength and the humic-acid since all the specimens tested contained the same amount of it. The main conclusion obtained was that there is a very clear relationship between the hardened strength and the temperature of the curing water.
