Abstract: The importance of water management cannot be neglected because a big project affects the water environment for a long period. In order to attain the sound environment, it is significant to clear processes of qualitative change in the water body. By the way, the reclamation project is proceeding at the Isahaya Bay, and this bay was enclosed by the construction of sea dyke on April 14,1997. Thus, the water environment around Isahaya bay will be changed near future. In the study, numerical simulations were carried out to examine and evaluate the temporal change of chlorides in the pond which is newly appeared at the Isahaya Bay. Calculated results show that rainfall influences on the chlorides concentration in this area, and these results imply the release of salinity from the sediment.
