Abstract: The fully developed laminar flow of a non-Newtonian fluid flowing between two parallel plates with one moving plate was studied analytically. Applying the shear stress described by the power-law model, the exact solutions for the momentum equation were obtained. The effects of the velocity of a moving plate and the flow index of a non-Newtonian power-law fluid on the velocity distribution and friction factor have been discussed.
