抄録: Carroll (1995, p.71) has argued that 'stakeholder thinking is a powerful way of visualizing organizations and their social responsibilities'. In general, we agree to his view. However, there are two styles in stakeholder thinking. It includes intrinsic stakeholder thinking and strategic stakeholder one. Each style quite differs in how to identify stakeholders, especially nature of identified stakeholders, and how to deal with the identified stakeholders. Which styles of thinking are useful for visualizing the social responsibilities in businesses? This paper unfolds the constitution of stakeholder thinking to provide a compass to the question.
