Description: 興福寺八角堂(南円堂院)正面図と、その前に佇む人物と鹿。興福寺は天智天皇の時代に藤原鎌足病気平癒を祈って建てられた山階寺に由来するとされる。繰り返し火災等にみまわれたが、現在でも北円堂を初め、国宝指定の建物を有している。 / The facade of Kofukuji Hakkakudo (Nanendo), with some people and deer standing in front of the temple. Kofukuji is said to originate from Sankaiji which was built to pray for the recovery of Fujiwara Kamatari's illness during the reign of Emperor Tenchi. Although it was destroyed by fire many times, it presently has the Nanendo and a building which has been designated as a national treasure.
